On April 18th, my friend and I (both females), came to this lot looking for a used vehicle. We had a certain budget and inquired about prices of a few vehicles on the lot. When told pricing, my friend politely told the man at the desk that she thought the price was a bit high for the year of vehicle and asked if there was a vehicle for a lesser price. Instead of saying to us, "no sorry", the man proceeds to tell us all about the price of gold (what does that have to do with selling someone a car?).
The mans conversation got more strange when he said that he knew we were not from this country and that we should go elsewhere to find a vehicle. (we are Caucasian and from USA!). Although we felt very offended and awkward, there was no argument, no hostility coming from us. We both said thanks we'll keep looking. The man kept insisting we look online at other prices, so we just said yes we will, then we walked out the door.
A few seconds after we walk out the door, the man comes running out of the office yelling, cursing and demanded we get off his lot. He was so hysterical we thought we may be getting physically assaulted. We quickly got into the car we borrowed and while he ranted he took pictures of the car license plate! We were trying to leave but he blocked us. Then he yelled at us that he didn't want us to use the back entrance because we would steal something from him! (we are well presented, middle aged women). My friend politely asked him what direction he would like us to go and he finally pointed to another exit.
The whole time this was going on my friend and I never said anything to retaliate, just tried to get away. This experience was so frightening and very unprofessional. Looking back I should have called the police. We didn't get the man's name as we were too put off and in a hurry to leave this toxic person.
How can someone like this stay employed or stay in business? Beware, this man is disturbed, hostile with a vicious temper. Would you trust someone that unstable to sell you a vehicle?
