We have received 2 letters, the return name on the envelope is SHAW, postmarked Canada Post, Letterhead is Alliance Financial Group from the Consumer Protection Department (hah) in Las vegas. The subject is "Consumer Promotion Drawing and Smartedge Sweepstakes. There is a check enclosed for $2, 800.00 from Alliance Financial Group in Burbank CA. The check is supposed to help cover the $2, 500.00 "Processing Fee. We are advised to contact the agent Edwin Gibson at 1-777-223-4792 as to payment of the fee. The prize of $350.000.00 will be delivered by certified check. This was sent to my Father-in law, who is now in a nursing home. Fortunately we screen his mail. This screams SCAM to me.
