They called before they arrived, which was nice, and then required full payment in advance - cash or check only. We normally don't pay until work is done, but my husband was quick to write the check because he wanted the pool cage cleaned. Aall Bright rushed through the job. they cleaned about 50 feet of single story roof facia boad and a pool cage in under an hour.
While they did get the algae off most of the cage (using bleach), they did not take much time to pressure wash the top of the cage from the inside so the small debris was removed. they came to the door and I was on a call for work, but heard everyword between them and my husband. they told him there were done and could get everything off the cage and then ran off down the driveway on the way to their next job. I
looked outside just after they left, saw all of the debris on the pool cage and when I got off my work call, called and spoke with the owner (?) - I assume he was the ower but he never really identified himself as such. he was defensive from the first word, almost as if he knew they did a so-so job and wasn't surprised that I called. he told me he already told my husband that they couldn't get all the debris off. I told him they could have if they'd just slowed down and taken their time. He told me they have a lot of satisfied customers and he was sorry I didn't like the work, but he never offered to come back out and do a little bit more, even if it was going to cost me more.
I am willing to pay for a job well done, but this was not a good job at all. lesson learned. I will never use these people again, and will never pay in full in advance for any work before I inspect it. This ompany is all about packing in as much work as they can in a short period, and not about doing their work well.
We knew we had a dirty pool cage, with leaves and tree debris on top of it. We hired what we thought was a professional company with the right tools, chemicals, and equipment to completely clean the pool cage and facia board. all they had was a high powered pressure washer and 4 guys to hold the hoses. they refilled their truck with my water, which will cost me another $60 or $70 on top of their fee. They told my husband they use their own water, but then once he was out of site I saw them pull our hose up to their truck and fill it up. If i'd known all there going to do was use bleach, and not use any soft brushes or other tools to celan the top of th epool cage (yes they got the algae off, but the top still looks ridiculous), I could've done it myself.
Ask about the process being used before hiring anyone to clean your pool cage. Ask if they use ladders, if they have long handles soft brushes to remove debris from the top of the pool cages. ask them specifically how they plan to clean your pool cage. Then don't pay them until they do what they say they will do.
Aall Bright relies on it's Angie's list rating. maybe they are good at cleaning driveways and sidewalks, but they are not good at pool cages and are nasty and defensive after they have your money. I am unimpressed and I guess the lack of customer service makes me even madder. I considered a formal complaint via Angies list to have them come back out and complete the expected work, but then thought better of it. I just won't use them anymore and suggest you ask a lot of questions before you hire them. If you can use someone else where youc an get a neighbor's recommendation, use the other company instead.
