When Mr. Jones came out to our home he was now with a company called "All American Home Improvements," according to the (Retail Sales Agreement and job specifications).
The sales agreement to install hardwood flooring in all the bedrooms, laminate tile in the exterior patio, and install an iron rail (gate) on our cement slab in the backyard would cost $10,850.00. Mr. Jones told us that he needed a down payment of $7,000.00 to order the materials. My husband wrote a check for this amount on 16 May 2014.
Mr. Jones then called back to say that the original flooring would be $4,000 more than anticipated and we told him no, so he said he would find something else close to what we picked out. He then came by and said he needed the remainder of the money to order the flooring we originally picked out.
Mr. Jones told us that it would take about 4 weeks to get all materials in. Mr. Jones told us that the flooring came in on the 23 June 2014, and he said that they could start the project the following week. We have called Mr. Jones numerous times and left numerous messages and texts and he failed to call us since then.
My husband and I are hardworking people; we are both U.S Army retirees and feel that this individual and the company should be punished. We would like our hard earned money back ASAP. We will be seeking a lawyer to resolve this issue. If anything you can do to warn people of this it would be greatly appreciated.
Keith Jones' criminal record, business conduct, and character have been well documented on this and other sites.
I am another victim of this slick operator’s lies. He took many $1000s as down payments for replacement windows and doors, materials and installation. He provided neither after 5 months. He once said he will refund my money. (Yes, I believe in the Tooth Fairy!) He has already missed the four promised payments. More lies. He is now doing business as "All American Home Improvements", still using business address 509 Main St., Schertz, TX. This place exists, but does he really have his business there? He rarely responds to phone calls, but fax's (210 658-1326) do get to him.
I have filed a police report and Small Claims Court case against him in my county. His latest arrest was in San Antonio in late May 2014. He is charged with "theft of the elderly". He is now out of jail on bond. His Bexar County, 3rd degree felony case number is 2013CR9279. Full details at (gov.bexar.org/dc/dcrecords.html). Click the "Last Name H-K" box. If you are one of his victims, file a police report in your county and then call the Bexar County District Attorney's Office in San Antonio (210 335-2157). Ask for May and just mention "Keith Jones". She is well aware of this case.
Following his arrest, he was shown on Delaine Mathieu's WOAI TV news show "Trouble Shooters" on May 29, 2014 (news4sanantonio.com//news/features/trouble-shooters/stories/man-accused-taking-5000-elderly-man-290.shtm). They are doing follow up reports regarding his prosecution.
If you have contact information for his parole officer, please post it.
