The violators send out emails recruiting for secret shoppers. saying that they will send you the first assignment. A man that calls himself Dennis Beckett or Dennis Hunt will send a check through the mail with a letter of instruction.
The instructions are to cash the check and then send a portion of the money through a MoneyGram and then keep the rest as your payment. Then you are to send him an email describing your experience sending the MoneyGram. Then he sends another check for the second assignment.
Upon cashign the second check it is found that the check was resturned to the bank and the bank keeps the second check. I emailed Dennis Beckett and I have not received a response for two days now.
The bank is investigating the fruad so I dont have to pay the money back, yet. Probably sooner or later I will have to pay the bank.
This is the form letter sent to me along with a cashiers check made out to ME drawn on bank Ascend Federal Credit Union.
