We run a small office in Miami Beach, servicing other businesses in the area. We have 14 PCs, 6 printers, and various networking devices to make them all talk to each other and provide internet.
Two weeks ago, something broke and or internet was turned off. I called the phone company, who sent out a technician. He was unable to fix the problem and said we needed to call a PC repair shop.
I had rec'd a flyer a few days back from A&G Networks, also based in Miami Beach. I called, and they sent out a technician. He spent 5 hours fiddling with our PCs and the stuff in the network closet, but could not figure it out. He was explaning to us that it was more of a phone company issue when my nephew walked in. He listened to the A&G guy for like a minute -- then he walked into the closet, flipped a switch on the back of a box in there, and suddenly the internet was back on .. theA&G guy didn't know what to say. My newphew is 12.
It all would have been funny, except three days later A&G sent a bill for 5 hours of labor and $165 worth of mystery parts. I called and told whoever answered I was not paying the bill, and explained what happened. Whoever I talked to agreed to cancel the bill.
A few weeks passed and I got a letter from a collection agency demading that I pay A&G Networks. Now I am battling a collection agency! I am sending in the ripoff report to warn others in the Miami Beach area - stay away from A&G networks - -- not only not know what the hell they are doing, they try to extort money from their customers.
