On September 3, 2014, Brian and crew from Affordable Repairs/Tree Service (865-360-0657) was cutting a couple of pine trees on a neighbor's property. The neighbor was an elderly (80+ year-old) widow with dimentia. The neighbor's daughter said a friend had recommended them. Brian had earlier told the neighbor's daughter that they were bonded and the insurance comapany's name. The part about being bonded by that insurance company turned out to be a lie, apparently they had been, but are no longer.
They dropped a tree limb on my chain link fence damaging the top rail and one vintage pole cap (old Sears pentagon shaped cap). The neighbor called me since no one was home. I came over and told the neighbor they should not pay them until my fence was fixed. I did not know that the elderly lady had paid them already, before they completed the work. They said they would be back to fix the fence. I called them after a week since they had not came back. They even said will it is only $10.00 of materials, another lie, it was 40 feet of top rail and an antique pole cap I was able to find on ebay for $10.00. This equates to about $50.00+ for just the materials. They have lied on numerous occasions of when the said they would be out. Brian tries to say I have a bad attitude because I want my fence repaired. His attitude is, it is not that much fix it yourself. Do not hire these guys unless you are willing to assume the risk for their damages. Brian will flat out lie to you, like he has done me and the elderly lady's daughters. It has been over a month of lies and nothing has been repaired.
Now, I am recommending "Do not use Brian @ Affordable Repairs/Tree Service (865-360-0657) for any services."
