Adam D. Johnson had us send him $1,500 via PayPal for leads on roofing jobs. When he did not provide the leads, he alternately promised to refund our money or to provide the leads. He lied...again and again. When the time expired for us to protest the charges, he quit making excuses and made it clear that he was not going to refund our money or provide the leads he promised.
We have been contacted by other persons that he has ripped off as well. A check of criminal cases in Wisconsin show multiple convictions for possession, theft from a retailer (shoplifting?) and disorderly conduct. He also has been sued in civil cases and has numerous money judgments against him.
When his phony businesses get a reputation for ripping customers off, he starts a new business under a different name but always with the same mode of operation: getting money up front and not delivering the promised services.
My guess is that he has to start these phony businesses because he can't get a real job. Once a prospective employer does a background check on him they will not hire him. Wish we had done the same.
