Sufi Hassan contacted our company to get a shipment quoted out on. basing the original shipment on a standard 48x40 pallet and listed weight should have been rated at a class 85. Once the shipment was received my the carrier they inspected it only to find that Sufi Hassan was lying about the shipment dimensions and weight.
We sent Sufi Hassan of Abbas Foods the undated information and requested he send a spec sheet of the shipment to let us dispute. He ignored the request and our accounting department charged the difference.
A day or two later this scammer filed a chargeback on the shipping charges instead of sending us something other than a photo of one pallet. He knowingly was going to scam us since he already had a photo which conveniently was sent over without anything else.
It seems that Sufi Hassan at Abbas Foods knew something was up since he had a photo ready AFTER the shipment was gone and unfortunately for him the photo showed the pallet height was far taller than what he originally requested a quote on.
If you are ever looking to do business with Abbas Foods as a vendor or customer, you are probably making a huge mistake. Now we have not only Sufi Hassan in collections but the consignee who is on the BOL. Per DOT law, transporters can collect from any party on the BOL.
If you are a buyer, it seems that he knows this game well and will leave you holding the bag on collections and vendor costs.
