I joined AARP Roadside Assitance . Two weeks later I broke down. I didn't receive my packet yet and the rep. didn't expain to me all the things I needed to know if I broke down .
The Rep. I talked to was reading about the packets as we talked and kept apoligising for having to read about the services they provide.
I called my local tow company after I broke down and they towed me. Then I had to be towed again because the break down was major and they didn't do that kind of work..
When I finally got my packet. I called AARP Roadside Assitance and that Rep. told me to send in all paper work required and tell them why I used that tow company still not telling me that I needed to call them first( AARP) before I was towed.
My AARP Roadside Assitance was paid in full from the first day I called.
I received a letter in the mail after I sent in all required paper work that I was denied reimbursement for my claim because I didn't call them first and get some sort of number.
Needless to say I'm very angry. I canceled with them and am now with AAA.
If I had checked the reports before I perchased I would have found out they need some work on their Roadside Assistance Program and better Trained Reps.
